There are two officials
training courses on offer in March.
Wednesday night, March 10th in the Southern clubrooms at
Bolivar, commencing 7.30pm
Saturday March 20th at the Mt Gambier kart club track,
commencing 10am.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, THIS TRAINING IS ESSENTIAL FOR STEWARDS AND
CLERKS OF COURSE, BUT ALL OTHERS ARE WELCOME SO YOU GET AN IDEA OF WHAT
HAPPENS OUT ON THE TRACK.

The Australian Motor Sport Foundation (AMSF) has announced a new and
revitalised AMSF Motorsport Camp that will provide young and aspiring drivers
with the opportunity to gain the competitive edge for the 2010 season.
Registrations are now open for the 2010 AMSF Motorsport Camp to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra, from Monday 5th – Friday 9th April, 2010. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
The redesigned camp will be based on the highly successful CAMS Rising Star Program. With the Rising Star drivers in attendance as well as Aussie Young Guns and all CAMS Scholarship holders, participants will be a part of a weeklong training camp with a number of Australia’s best young talented drivers.
The camp will focus on improving individual performance for motor sport competitors and will cover topics such as nutrition, cardiovascular activity, strength and conditioning, recovery, psychology, media, sponsorship, career planning and competing internationally. The camp will also cover race preparation, motor sport specific training techniques and a presentation from a professional V8 Supercar driver.
Although the camp will include some theoretical components, it will be highly interactive with a comprehensive performance report and a number of tools being provided for application away from the AIS. It will also give participants an opportunity to benchmark their performance against previous elite attendees including recent CAMS Rising Stars and other Australian drivers competing internationally.
The cost of the camp will be $2,990, which includes accommodation, use of AIS facilities and all meals at the AIS, as well as all learning materials and camp apparel. Participants will stay on-site at the AIS and will be supervised by Camp Coordinators at all times throughout the camp.
Spots are limited and restricted to the first twelve (12) competitors who apply and meet the pre-selection criteria. Applications for the AMSF Motorsport Camp close on Friday 19th March, 2010. The new AMB timing system will be in action as of July 1st at all tracks in
SA, and is in use now for all Victorian series events.
The state secretary has transponders in stock at $285 each, and spare
holders for your 2nd kart at $10 each.
