South Australian Sprocket Rocket Cup – 2025

Cadet 9 Only

Dates:

Rd 1:    16^th March – Southern Go Kart Club, 21-51 Robinson Road, Bolivar

Rd 2:    6^th April – Go Kart Club of SA, 3711 Old Princes Highway, Monarto

Rd 3:    28^th June – Barossa Go Kart Club, 9 Belvidere Road, Nuriootpa

Rd 4:    20^th July – Go Kart Club of SA,3711 Old Princes Highway, Monarto

Rd 5:    7^th September – Southern Go Kart Club, 21-51 Robinson Road, Bolivar

Rd 6:    8^th November – Barossa Go Kart Club, 9 Belvidere Road, Nuriootpa

 

6 round series – 2 at each SA Metro clubs –

Following rules below.

Track direction and track configuration will be the same as the Club Race Meeting on that day.

Cadet 9’s will have the track to themselves for each of these race meetings (they will NOT be grouped with cadet 12’s) No minimum number is required.

Southern Go Kart Club and Go Kart Club of SA will allow free practice at the track the day before the race meeting for non-members of the club, if entered in that weekends round of the Sprocket Rocket Cup – Barossa Go Kart Club will allow cadet 9’s who are not members of Barossa free practice the weekend before the race meeting. Cadet 9’s and Cadet 12’s will be combined on the track for these practice sessions.

Heats for each event – Events will be a combination of reverse draw heats and qualifying heat configurations – this will expose competitors to various experiences. Each venue will hold one event with reverse draw and one with qualifying.

Heat 1 and Heat 2 grid positions will be determined either reverse draw or a 5-minute qualifying session. Heat 3 grid will be determined by total points from Heat 1 & 2.  The Final Grid will be determined from all points from Heats 1,2 & 3.

Round Podium – Final only Counts – Podium for places 1,2,3,4 & 5

 

 

Series Podium – All heats and Finals contribute to the series points with each competitor dropping their 4 worst races (Heats and Finals)

Series End of year Trophies – will be presented at the Karting SA end of year presentation dinner Date 12^th December and venue TBA

Points will be 401 system.

NDF, DNS and DSQ

A: Non-Finishers (DNF) in a heat or final will be awarded a finishing position based on the number of laps completed in that Heat or Final,

1)other than on the first lap of a heat or final, if multiple karts DNF on the same lap, the finishing position of each kart will be in accordance with their order on the previously completed lap.

2)If multiple karts DNF on the first lap, positions will be awarded as per the order of gridding

B: A kart that does not start (DNS) in a heat or final will be awarded 0 points.

C: A kart that is disqualified (DSQ) in a heat or final will be awarded 0 points

D: The disqualified (DSQ) driver will not be awarded any series points from that heat or final.
